Abstract: Le idroecoregioni sono zone che presentano al loro interno una limitata variabilità per le caratteristiche chimiche, fisiche e biologiche (Wasson, 2002). Il concetto di idroecoregione prende quindi in considerazione sia che le caratteristiche idrologiche del territorio, sia l'ecologia dell'ecosistema che si trova nel territorio stesso.
