Abstract: La banca dati delle Teleferiche forestali nasce negli anni ’80 a cura del nucleo del Corpo Forestale Regionale responsabile del COR, Centro Operativo Regionale per la gestione degli incendi boschivi.Nelle operazioni di soccorso alpino e di spegnimento incendi con l’impiego di mezzi aerei, riveste fondamentale importanza l’esatta conoscenza dell’ubicazione di questi veri e propri ostacoli al volo, fonte di gravi rischi proprio a causa della loro scarsa visibilità.Gli Uffici regionali non hanno competenza diretta in materia, riservando la legge ogni responsabilità al singolo possessore di impianto in merito agli obblighi amministrativi e di segnalazione del cavo. Tuttavia, con questa banca dati, da qualche tempo presente anche nel visualizzatore cartografico WEB e che conta oltre 700 impianti (quasi 600 ancora tesi, e oltre 430 pericolosi per il volo), il Servizio Gestione forestale e AIB ed il CFR intendono continuare a mettere a disposizione del pubblico elementi che, oltre ad aumentare la sicurezza di chi si sposta sul territorio regionale, possono proficuamente essere utilizzati dal punto di vista tecnico-economico e storico.Le geometrie sono di tipo linea e vengono aggiornate su segnalazione del personale forestale. Il database associato contiene gli elementi tecnici (diametro, tipo, ecc.) e qualitativi (stato, esposizione al volo, ecc.) di rilievo.
