Abstract: Costituisce la raccolta aggiornata delle geometrie delle aree forestali distinte per tipologia e situate nel territorio della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia. In buona parte si tratta di superfici occupate da boschi così come definiti dalla vigente legge forestale regionale (n.9/2007). Le geometrie provengono da due diversi geodatabase: "Tipi Forestali 1998", aggiornato nel 2010 e "Completamento del GIS dei Tipi forestali del Friuli Venezia Giulia" realizzato nel 2011, validato definitivamente nel 2013 ed integrato nel 2018 con l'estensione del territorio regionale al Comune di Sappada.
Purpose: Fornire al pubblico una delimitazione delle aree coperte da vegetazione forestale, inquadrate secondo la classificazione tipologica adottata dall'Amministrazione regionale..

Lineage: La delimitazione delle unità tipologiche è stata definita come segue: per l'area montana (campo DB_ORIG = "TipiFor_2010") inizialmente vettorializzando e strutturando con MapInfo i dati della cartografia tecnica esistente; successivamente (2009-2010) il perimetro esterno delle aree forestali è stato aggiornato sulla base dell'ortofoto volo 2007; per la restante area esterna al territorio montano è stato approvato nel 2011 il progetto "Completamento dei Tipi Forestali" diviso in quattro lotti, affidati ciascuno ad un professionista esterno, che prevedeva la verifica geometrica e tipologica in campagna delle aree preliminarmente delimitate con applicativo GIS sulla base dell'ortofoto più recente (Campo DB_ORIG = "BoscPlan_2011"). Nei primi mesi del 2014 sono stati effettuati controlli ontologici, geografici e topologici ed apportate alcune correzioni relative.
