Lineage: Il rilievo della linea di riva è stato effettuato utilizzando una coppia di GPS differenziali a doppia frequenza (L1-L2) con registrazione di codice e di fase e modalità RTK on the fly modello Leica System 530-1230 con radio modem. Il rilevo è stato eseguito con mare calmo e con un numero di punti sufficienti a determinarne una precisa configurazione.
Per il rilievo della battigia il GPS consente, indicando costantemente all'operatore la quota riferita al LMM del piede della palina, di poter eseguire il rilievo percorrendo la linea di riva direttamente sulla quota zero IGM. Questo permette di non tenere in considerazione il livello di marea.
