Abstract: E' il volume elementare riferito ad un edificio. Il termine unità volumetrica indica quindi un corpo costruito la cui sommità è costituita da unasuperficie piana reale, ad esempio un tetto piano, oppure da una superficie piana ideale che definisce quello che può essere considerato il volumedel corpo edificato ai fini di un calcolo, ancorché approssimato, della sua volumetria. La quota di questa superficie piana, reale o ideale, vienedetta quota di gronda dell’unità volumetrica.
