Abstract: Catasto delle grotte naturali della Provincia autonoma di Trento.
L'istituzione del catasto delle grotte e delle aree carsiche della Provincia di Trento è stata prevista dalla Legge provinciale n. 37 del 31/10/1983 (Protezione del patrimonio mineralogico, paleontologico, paletnologico, speleologico e carsico); l'articolo 14 della citata legge demanda alla Giunta provinciale l'emanazione delle norme attinenti all'impianto, al funzionamento, all'aggiornamento e all'accesso al catasto stesso.
Il catasto delle grotte del Trentino è stato ufficialmente attivato in data 14 marzo 2008 tramite specifica delibera della Giunta Provinciale.
Con determinazione del dirigente n. 14038 di data 10 dicembre 2025 sono state aggiunte ulteriori 461 grotte al Catasto Provinciale portandone il numero complessivo a 1762.
