The project involved five European countries: Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and Spain; for Italy five agencies CREA, AGEA, ENEA and ISPRA took part to the project. Open IACS was a technological project focused on the use/reuse of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) data relating to the programming cycle 2014-2020 whose main objective was the experimentation of ICT solutions, such as Linked Open data, for accessing and exchanging data from the Integrated Management and Control Systems (IACS) as well as environmental datasets. The layer "OPENIACS Project - Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS) 2018" represents the delimitation and classification, in 2018, of all agricultural and non-agricultural plots (understood as continuous portions of land with a homogeneous land cover/use), regardless of the cadastral borders and the territorial consistency of the companies registered in the SIAN registry office. The Refresh classification includes categories that are identifiable as "land cover" (seedable areas, woods and pastures for example) and others that are more properly assimilated to "uses" (for example fixed greenhouses, technical areas and all the detailed codes of tree crops).
